230 MPG Car Chevrolet Volt 2010 – 230-mpg car is coming soon.General Motors Co. announced today that their newest automobile which is the electric-drive Chevrolet Volt which is expected to get a rating of at least 230 miles per gallon in city driving.GM CEO Fritz Henderson said at the Warren Tech Center :
“There’s a reason the outlet is smiling.From the data we’ve seen, most drivers could operate purely on grid electricity in a Chevy Volt .A car that gets more than 100 miles per gallon is a significant step in the reinvention of the auto industry and GM is and will continue to be a leader in that reinvention.”
The car will be out in 2010 and will have an on-board generator to recharge the batteries after 40 miles, additionally the generator will be powered by gasoline.
