Apple IPad Short Supply at Company Retail Stores – The Apple IPad has been selling well across the US.However, the Apple retail stores in 13 US cities have claimed that they have sold out of all three versions of the iPad 3G, and have had to turn away a number of customers. There has been no information released about when more will become available at these stores. Four of the stores were located in New York City, three were in San Francisco, and two were in Los Angeles. All of these stores reported that they had no addition iPad 3Gs devices left in stock.
Steve Jobs recently announced that Apple had sold its millionth iPad on April 30th. This was the same day that customers could get models with access to AT&T’s 3G wireless network. The Wi-Fi versions had been out for over a month when the subsequent versions were released alongside.

“Demand continues to exceed supply,” said Natalie Kerris, a spokeswomen for Apple. She also declined to comment on the iPad supplies at their own stores, but did say that the company was working hard to get as many iPads into the hands of consumers as possible.
Jobs also said that the iPad surpassed month-long records held by the iPhone in only 28 days of being available to consumers. In fact, where the iPad was at on its 28th day of availability, the iPhone took nearly 74 days to reach the same mark.
It doesn’t appear that the iPad is going anywhere anytime soon, and the device continues to sell well.
