Baggage Ban On Batteries

Starting January 1st 2008,it will be forbidden to carry batteries in checked luggage on airplanes.The ban affects non-rechargeable lithium batteries, like Energizer Holdings Inc. and Procter & Gamble Co.’s Duracell brand.Nonetheless passengers will still be allow to bring batteries if they are installed in electronic devices, such as cameras, cellphones and laptop computers in their carry on baggage. The limit is two batteries per passenger.
