Verizon Wireless Introduces the Blackberry Curve Smartphone

The BlackBerry Curve 8330 is going live on Verizon Wireless in May.The Curve 8330 will feature:

The wee 4.2 x 2.4 x 0.6-inches / 4-ounces curve sporting a 320 x 240 pixel display, 2-megapixel camera, media player, stereo Bluetooth audio, microSD / SDHC expansion, and 260 minutes talk / 11 days standby.

Additionally it will come with GPS which Verizon calls the VZ Navigator and will cost you $270 after a $50 mail-in rebate and two-year contract with further discounts available when signing up for eligible voice and data plans.

Jabra’s BT3030 Bluetooth Headset Mimics Dog Tag

Jabra will be releasing a brand new model of Bluetooth headsets called the “BT3030″,which is a portable audio-enabled mobile phones.The Bluetooth headset, was crafted to mimic the traditional dog tag, and specifications wise, you’ll find Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, HSP, HFP, A2DP and AVRCP support.
Additionally, the “BT3030″ has six buttons useful for sending / ending calls and controlling music playback, and yes, it will lower the volume when detecting an incoming call from your girlfriend.
It is available now in the US for for $90 and will hit the stores in Japan on April 23 2008 for ¥8,980.

Google New Application For iPhone

Google Inc. is planning on releasing a new application that will provide services such as e-mail, search and calendar into a single interface for the Apple Inc’s iPhone.
The Web leader said that the new application would make it easier to find, use and switch between its services on the iPhone.
Additionally the company is also working to develop new mobile technologies that are faster, easier to use, and available on more devices .
Google’s goal is to replicate its success in desktop computer Web use on mobile phones,nonetheless no date as yet on the availability on this new service.

Nokia’s Unlimited Music Offer

Nokia’s announcement today to provide unlimited music downloads to its clients is upsetting to other carriers.
The company revealed that it has already signed a deal with record label Universal (whose artists include 50 Cent, Sting and Mariah Carey)that will give customers buying particular Nokia devices unlimited access to millions of tracks for a year and allow them to keep the music afterwards.
Nokia is hoping to seduce the three remaining major international labels, to whom it is already talking.
Nokia’s new unlimited music downloads service will start in the second half of 2008.

AT&T Confirms 3G iPhone Due In 2008

Apple Inc is set to unveil faster IPhone in 2008 according to AT&T Inc. Chief Executive Officer Randall Stephenson.IPhone users will be able to download from the Internet at a faster rate.Randall didn’t say how much it will cost but expect it to be around $599 nonetheless the 8GB iPhone will feature a full 16GB of flash like the iPod touch.

Korean Man Killed By Cellphone

A South Korean man named Suh was killed after his cellphone battery exploded.
Suh,was found dead at his workplace in a quarry and his mobile phone battery was melted in his shirt pocket (picture above).Kim Hoon, the doctor who examined the body said:

“He sustained an injury that is similar to a burn in the left chest and his ribs and spine were broken,”
“It is presumed that pressure caused by the explosion damaged his heart and lungs, leading to his death.”

The phone’s manufacturer responded that it was highly unlikely.

Papa John’s Text- Message Ordering Launched

Papa John’s pizzas can now be ordered via text messaging.
Louisville-based Papa John’s International Inc. announced this week that is now possible to order at its 2,700 U.S. restaurants.
It’s a progression from the pizza maker’s online ordering, which began in 2001 and now accounts for nearly 20 percent of its U.S. sales.

iPhone On Sale In Europe

The iPhone has landed in Europe to be more precise in Germany and in the UK ,today.
Apple hopes to sell 10 million iPhones in 2008, thanks to its launch in Asia next year.
Deutsche Telekom AG, which owns T-Mobile, said it has already sold more than 10,000 iPhones in Germany.And O2, which is providing cell service for iPhones in Britain, said it would not release the number as yet.France’s Telecom will sell the iPhone in France through its Orange wireless branch, starting Nov. 29.
