Packard Bell New Laptops In Italy

Packard Bell has released a list of machines in Italy today which includes a wide range of new laptops .It presented the TN line (pictured above) which is set to appeal to a younger audience with low prices and multimedia features.The EasyNote RS65 13.3-incher which comes in red and chrome also has highlights and circular touch pad.Here are some other features:

It packs an Intel Centrino 2 and dedicated video card with DVI and HDMI. Other machines include the multimedia-friend ML (15.4-inch) and SL (17-inch) based on the Puma platform.

The company also unleashed the MT (15.4-inch) and ST (17-inch) laptops.
Both of them are equipped with a “Battery Boost” button that allows you to switch between dedicated video and integrated Intel GMA chipsets in order to conserve unwired time.Lastly,in the desktop category, Packard Bell introduced the new i-Media, family-Extreme, and i-Max machines.
Packard Bell has been dying in the US,that is why they are doing all they can to attract new clients.

Sub-$1,000 Blu-ray Laptop Now Available From Dell

Dell introduced earlier today an affordable laptop called Inspiron 1525 with a built-in Blu-ray drive for the low price of $879.The Inspiron 1525 laptop features a 15.4-inch high definition wide aspect display with 720p resolution. It also includes an HDMI port for easy connectivity to high resolution displays and HDTVs.Here are some more features of the 1525:

The Blu-ray player disc drive is fully backwards compatible, and will play as well as burn traditional DVDs and CDs. Consumers can also chose a Blu-ray burner drive, which is great for backing up and storing important files like digital photos, videos, financial records, etc. A Blu-ray disc will hold up to 50 GB of data, vs. 8.5 GB available on the typical DVD disc.

The Inspiron 1525 laptop with Blu-ray is available today in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

Mac OS X 10.5.2 Delivers Fixes For Leopard

Apple has plans to do some major fixing on the new Leopard operating system.
The company is set to resolve the remaining bugs thanks to its 10.5.2 update.
Apparently 76 fixes are listed including the fan-faves the MacBook AirPort and the Rosetta PowerPC compatibility memory leaks.
The software update could arrive alongside with new hardware at next month’s Macworld Expo, which kicks off January 15th.

Lenovo 3000 Y410 Quietly Released

Without making any noise or any press, the Lenovo 3000 Y410 laptop arrived in the US.
The 14.1-inch in a boxy silver case the 1,280 x 800 model costs about $700.
It has few entertainment-oriented features that you wouldn’t normally find on a business machine such as Dolby Home Theater audio with a subwoofer, the ability to play CDs without booting the system, and a media player called Shuttle Center.
