I received a reply from Lia telling me to click of Your Communities (on any Classmates page), then click EDIT next to Eastern KY, the click REMOVE ME, then YES to confirm my decision. ONE MAJOR PROBLEM! NO WHERE on the screen is the option to EDIT!! Very strange. What next?

For professional reasons you should update your website and show people that you are reputable…..by having a logical and simple way to cancel the membership.
If mine isn’t cancelled through my message today, I will put a message in the paper and let my school know not to become a member of ClassMates.com.
Besides these messages today, I tried replying to your messages and hopefully today I have put the message in front of someone who is alive and kicking and knows how to handle a cancellation.

I have cancelled this service several times and have had my credit card company refuse charges and I keep getting billed. Stop it now! I will not pay for this anymore. I have cancelled this on line on three different occasions and will take legal action if you keep billing me. I will ask my credit card company to return this payment as they did the last three. don’t you get it? Cancelled means I don’t want your service anymore and I don’t want you to take my money any more.

My computer had multiple virus’. I rebooted 20 days ago, and have not been able to reconnect with classmates.com.
My subscription is good until May of 2010. My 45th high school reunion is coming up in 40 days, and I need to obtain the necessary information.
I have tried 20 times in 20 days unsuccessfully. I enter all of the information but am told that I am already registered but nevertheless can’t get connected.

I was erroneously billed $39.00 on my bank account for classmates.com. I spoke with Chantel who promised me that the charge would be refunded to me. As of August 2nd, 2009 it has not been. I was told by her the credit was already sent to my bank and the bank disputes this saying they have heard nothing from classmates.com. I have been trying for one whole week, to opt out of your automatic renewal membership. Twice, I have requested the password you require to log into the account “opt out” page . . . and you have not sent it to me . . . which holds up my cancelling, and therefore holds me hostage to your ability to scam my money and credit card. I do not have a so-called mass E-mail bin, that you mention to “look in” . . . just a direct and personal E-mail function. Stop this scam . . . I am about to go very, very public. I want confirmation that you are taking me out of your automatic renewal program ASAP . . . or my son, who is in Law Enforcement, will help me to take the necessary steps for punitive action against your organization. I signed up for a seven day trial and cancled the same day now today i have a bill on my cc for 39.99 how do i get this to stop and from the looks of all the complaints that i see on thes complaint board, id say that this classmates . com is a SCAM!!!!they are obviously ripping people off im not that good with computers and i dont know where to go from here except to clear out my bank account and open a new one

tried to stop after free 7 day subscription. e-mailed a notification when website wouldn’t take it. noticed charge was on credit card & notified discover. seems this is a common problem with these people. discover says to look for more fraudlent charges from other companies now that they have your info.

I cancelled my subcription 2 months ago. I just received another bill there was a charge of $39 on my mastercard. I want you to take care of this matter ASAP. If not I will contact my credit card company with this matter and advise them that this is an unauthorized charge

I have sent you an e-mail to cancel my membership and had no responce .so I called my credit card company and they are investgating this problem for me. Oh I also called your # from my credit card comp. and got no answer.

I’ve tried to cancel also. I’ve also tried calling 1-206-301-5700. I keep getting a voice-mail saying (not word for word) but something like “You’ve reached Classmates.com, please call back during regular business hours-8am-5pm or log onto classmates.com/billing. I HAVE called during business hours several times. Can’t find website or get a hold of anyone. My only suggestion is to call your bank/credit card company and request a “stop-payment.” However, it sucks if they already charged you and you can’t get that money back!!

Like the rest of the people above, I would like you to cancel my membership asap. YOu don’t even ask if a person would you like to continue to subscribe for the upcoming like most places. Along with the hundreds of people above my Capital One card was charges 41.55 withour my permission, this time. I spoke to capital one and they said you have to get classmates to reverse the charge, haha, not likely it seems, also not very funny. I have had to cancel my credit card. At this time I am demanding for the charge to be reversed, if not I will be filing a FRAUD charge against classmates. Everyone needs to do this , maybe they will stop if they have charges against them. Karen C
