Thanks to Obama's crusade on credit, my business has been shut down.

I have been selling referee and umpire clothing and equipment for nearly 38 years and have successfully accepted credit cards over the years UNTIL NOW!

Recently, I changed processors because of cheaper rates and was treated as a new business. During this time, apparently ONE bank objected to one of my charges saying it was not authorized.

I was not notified or given a chance to defend myself. The bank reported it to a government agency (risk????) and they literally stopped all charges and have been holding my money for over a week now. The amount is not huge ($700) but for a very, very small company like mine (me) it literally killed my cash flow and also forced me to tell my customers they would have to pay cash or check which didn't go over too well.

It seems government agencie view themselves as sort of a gestapo using whatever seizing tactics they wish without notifying the accused any opportunity to defend themselves.

Only after I initiated communication was I told I had to submit the last five charges along with proof of delivery, the names and phone numbers of those customers so this agency (risk?) can call them to verify those transactions were real.

Well, you know how this makes me look and will put doubt in those customers minds from purchasing again.

Also, since my business is internet or at various clinics in schools, etc. I cannot swipe cards and have to key them in. Now, since I cannot accept credit cards, which is over 75% of my business, another business bites the dust.

Seems the banks win again and the poor businessman loses again. We, the backbone of American business, have no rights at all...it's just the consumer who gets protection.

Nice going, Obama, you just lost more votes. Good luck getting re-elected.
