Being a part of Comcast email is being stuck in a frustrating feedback loop to unwanted advertising, never able to access an inbox that SAYS there’s new mail in it. People send me stuff, then call me to get me the message, because my email does not work. It’s useless and frustrating.

I can’t get into my comcast email – and the link for the help desk is not working either. I’m logged on to the account – it says “hi, summer” – but the mail button doesn’t have a number showing how many messages – not even a zero! And, when I click on it, it takes forever… and then goes to a blank screen.
Oh- wait – just tried again, and now I’m getting an error message saying “temporarily unavailable”
This is very frustrating – I use this email for my work!

Tried to access the sign-in as usual but a new page came on for Google with no way to access my sign-in on Comcast…so have arrived at this page and found all these folks have a similar problem! What is going on? Last week had a problem, utilized the HELP page to reach DELL…turned out to be a ComCast glitch! Please adjust this ASAP!!!

I agree with all that Comcast sucks when it comes to any sort of help. I have been in an online chat session for THREE hours with THREE separate reps all of whom do not speak ENglish as a first language. They are in India, I think.
I still have no resolution to my issue other than “You will have to contact your local Comcast office.”
What really SUCKS most of all is that I live in an area where Comcast has no competition at all. They can and are as rude as they want to be.

This is crazy! There are numerous individuals that are expressing the same issue I am experiencing but there are no responses telling anyone how to correct the issue??? Where is that great Comcast customer service? I am extremely frustrated by this as we are paying a premium for service and not getting any support for our $$$$. To post a comment they ask for my e-mail address…… For what, I can’t access it to read the response you are going to send to me!!!! I have Comcast phone, internet and cable. I switched thinking I would get a better deal than that of the satelite company??? I am seriously rethinking this. You send messages through the cable when you want to sell me something, why don’t you tell us there is a potential problem through this same venu??? All I want to do is check my e-mail! How do I get in there to do so????? Signed, Frustrated and confused Comcast customer!

COMCAST is so messed up. When it rains (like right now), the internet goes haywire. Some days when it is clear with no adverse weather conditions the system is really slow. The cable TV is a whole other story. we will be watching a movie or just watching something and the channel will loos the signal. there are about 4 different channels this happens to. I call the support number (that is record for quality control purposes but must never be checked) and was told that when the service provider looses signal there is nothing Comcast can do. The gentleman on the support end when I ask about prorating the bill he ask “can you get other channels”? I said yes but I want to watch this channel. I did not get anywhere. I can rest assured that if I were to take it upon myself to prorate my bill, Comcast would not hesitate to shut my cable service off imediately. I will be switching dish next week. Comcast is a rip off.

Comcast has done a dis-service to ALL the cuswtomer paying big $$ for nothing. Everytime I turn around there is a major change that does not work. Wonder where these “brains” sic got their degrees? Guess it is time to look for other service. Dialup may be slow but I was able to get my email. BOO HISS to Comcast and they want me to go digital phones. NOT!!!!! in a million years.

I’m not sure why you want my e-mail address as I cannot get into it to see your reply, but, … I cannot access my e-mail or internet nor can I alter my password or even get a hint to what it always has been. Never have changed it. I had to go through Yahoo to get to this site. The only thing working properly in my entire comcast package is the T.V. Yes, even the phone is acting up. It would be a pain to change e-mail address and I like the internet service but having too many problems.

I’ve been trying for days – thought it was a worm but based on the emails above its a ‘NORMAL’ problem. Using my laptop, been trying to access email (my otehr email address, not the one I’ve given here) remotely. Ugly.
Guess I’ll be looking for a different email service when I get back if this doesn’t get sorted fast. I did use the ‘live chat’ and they got me in with a new pass, but since then no luck again!
Comment for Comcast – SmartZone is NOT Smart.

I would like to apologize to Comcast, I wrote a nasty comment on the not being able to sign in problem. I figured out what the problem was with my machine. First I wentto internet options and changed my cookie restrictions because I remembered that some sites need them to remember you and your preferences. You also might try to adjust your security options if cookies dont work. If this is posted I hope it helps at least one of you so it was worth my time. HA HA.

I have been having a lot of these same problems. Couldn’t get to sign in page. Passwords wouldn’t work when I did somehow. Sign in page just bounces back when I submit etc. I went to G MAIL website. They have a trouble shooting section.
The answer was to go to options under tools and delette all temporary internet files from your cache. Then set your computer to accept all cookies. This actually works for awhile until I get it messed up again. I just tried it and it worked again. Sometimes a complete turn off and power off will help too.

I REALLY hate SmartZone. Why do I have to go to the SmartZone page when all I want to do in go to my Inbox? You’ve added an extra step in the process….sometimes 2 steps because most of the time the system won’t save my screen name and password for 2 weeks like it’s suppose to, so I have to sign in every time I want to get to my Inbox and that’s after I already went to the SmartZone page.
I want to be able to click on the Homepage email icon and go DIRECTLY to my Inbox and bypass the Smart(Stupid)Zone page. Why did you have to change the email system? It worked well before. The new system is very annoying and a waste of time. Perhaps you could separate the email and voice mail and put 2 icons on the Homepage and let the user decide which place they choose to go IN ONE STEP. Voice mail users could click on their icon and people who just want to go to their Inbox could click on their icon. How hard could that be to do? Please lose the SmartZone. It’s bad. Really, really bad.
