Digg Up With New Design
Digg Up With New Design – After months of speculation and beta-testing the new Digg has finally arrived, but has been experiencing some issues since its launch. Users of Digg have been waiting patiently to get a look at the updated version of Digg, which has garnered a lot of attention from the media in recent months. Representatives for the company announced last week that the new version of the service would be going live at some point this week.
Moments after the new version of the site went live, the site experienced a flood of traffic and went down. The company then sent out a Tweet stating that they would be adding more capacity and re-launching the new version of the service.
The new Digg will reportedly make it easier for users to find, access, and post content to the website. Along with the navigational upgrades, the site will also become more social, and will allow users to share the stories on popular social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter.
The new version of Digg will also include a “news feed” of sorts that will allow members to see the articles that their friends are sharing on the service as they log in. Users will also be able to directly import RSS feeds into their accounts, which will make it much easier for them to share their favorite stories. Previously, users were unable to import RSS feeds and had to fill out a form to add content and links to the website.
It will be interesting to see how the new, more-interactive version of Digg will increase their user base and traffic to the popular website.
