dear Ellen,
I am a single mother of 2 small children. I spend most of time working and my children are cared for by my 65 year old parents. I would love to do something for them and my kids but they are all un materialitistic and would never go to cuba or anything like that. My kids have never even had a game system before and thats even okay. A week ago I was in a skiing accident which has left me imobilized with a severerly fractured knee. I know the most important thing in life is family, friends and people who make you laugh. This is where you come in. You are the highlight of my day. You are a wonderfully hilarious beautiful person. I cant wait every day until 10:00 a.m. to see you. My dad threatens to shut your show off because I laugh so hard the pain in my leg becomes unbearable and I almost pee myself. Thank you for being the highlight of my now pretty painful boring life. I also cant wait to see Karen regain her title on Tuesday. Thank you, I cant even explain in words how better you make my day, everyday. I dont know I could get through it without you. You are special. Myself, God, of course Portia and the rest of the world knows it. Thank you for being there for me.

Ellen,
You have a sagment on commercials.
The commercial that really got me was the pinesol commercial where the fellow is on a raft and gets the odor of Pinesol from a sub. Then we are shown the Pinesol Lady on a board This is the part that is special She waves after saying her famous line “Thats the powe of pinesol baby”,then she looks aside and waves.
The first time I saw that I waved back. Got a good laugh at myself. Wonder how many who saw this commercial did the same.

Something else, on your segment of commercials
why is it when we see cars going forward the wheels are always going backwards.
Any thoughts on this?

Dear Ellen,
Do you like your name? I always thought “our” name was just fine. But, now, as soon as I tell people my name, I know they think of YOU. I am proud of this connection. You are clever and kind. I am proud to share my name with you.
When I was in school, there was another Ellen in all of my classes. She was considered “the smart Ellen.” I was not dumb, or anything, but she was a wiz.
Have you ever had an audience of all Ellen’s?
Wouldn’t it be great to see all those women who share our name? This is just an idea. If you decide to do it, I’d love to come and participate and meet you.
I am a retired teacher — 38 1/2 years in public edecation. I watch your show daily. It’s one of the many bright spots in my day.
Stay strong and enjoy.
Ellen (Mazer)

Place a shot glass at one end. Now strattle tissue with feet. Place and hold a quarter in the checks of your ass while you carefully walk to the end with shot glass and try to make the quarter into the glass. Winner takes all!!! Bar game Wiota, Iowa

Dear Ellen,
I tape your show every day, and watch you each night. Today for the first time I went to ellentv. There was a contest for Hawaii, and I thought I would enter. I have to say, it was not what I expected. I know celebrities get paid for using products, etc., but the “contest” questions asked just to try to win a trip were outrageous! I thought okay, here is why I think it would be a wonderful trip, but then it was question after question about my education, do I plan on purchasing items, etc and etc. Well, this is the last time I come to your site, and the last time I bother watching your program. Your a sell out just like so many other famous people. If your going to have a contest, take the persons name, address and phone number. Period. If I wanted the third degree I’d commit a crime and be interogated.

Ellen,my husband just recently got out of rehab and I recently lost my job and we both are looking real hard for work, but we are now living in our ford explorer. His parents or sister won’t let us stay with them so we have been sleep at the wal-mart parking lot. We have had our 4 cats at the vet’s for over 4 months and our puppy is at my friend’s place, The vet told his mother that we have only got about 3 more weeks to get a place or they are going to give our cats away and they are like our kids. My kids are living with their dad in Kansas. The oldest is going to be 21 but my baby is only 12 and she wants to live with me and my new husband here in Albany Ga. But her dad wont even let her come visit until I have a job and a nice place to live. Ellen when I have a place to stay and a TV to watch I watch your show and it always makes my day go better no matter how sad or depressed I am. Dear Ellen,
I love you show and only miss it when I have a Dr,s appt. I am writing this in hopes you can help me and a friend of mine. 3 yrs ago I suffered a massive cerebral hemorrhage (my family was discussing my funeral arrangements) that left me in a coma for three months. After a month of rehab I returned home to find I no longer had a home. My aged husband had been placed in a nursing home, where he died. my prscious cats, ages 7 and 9 yrs, were gone. No on knows where, and I looked everywhere. Everything of value had been taken. My husband’s family had changed the locks, but allowed me in to get my clothes and some of the personal things they had no use for. My nice nice truck had been run into the ground, and I had to sell it to find an apartment. I get $860 mo. + $16 month food stamps, and I am a diabetic. I lost weight while I was in my coma, and my teeth no longer fit. My best friend, Nancy Melton has no teeth at all, no vehicle, and her daughter – who has three children – has just been diagnosed with MS. We pray, our Church prays, our families pray that you might see you way clear to send your Stimulus Machine to 1109 Jackson St, Apt 1202, (Tower Place Apartments), Anderson, IN 46016. (Press 6 on the wall panel and you will see the name “Wilcox”, then you hit “#” and my phone will ring and I’ll hop on that elevator in a flash!! My phone # is (765) 649-0031 You would be helping two senior citizen’s and their families. We would have nice smiles, and a vehicle we can share! No what your decision is, you will forever be in our prayers,
God Bless You, Ellen!

P.s. I have two new kittens! Maxwell Pacio (like Al Pacino without the “n”), and Dumplin’ Mae. They love you, too!

Yep, it’s me again. I’m a firm believer in that old chestnut…”If at first you don;t succeed…” well, you know I’m a patient woman and your a busy one but I think it’s time to bring Clay Aiken back to your show. This is his year of “coming out” and he also has a new baby and is learning how to be a good daddy, while fighting off the bigots (some in government) and some right in his home State. He has lots to talk about that people will want to hear, and I just can’t wait to hear that voice again, especially “Everything I Don’t Need” a very hot track from his new album.
Yeah, I’m still waitin’ on ya, Ellen….

I lost my job,in 2008, due to me being sick. When they let me go, I lose all my benifits. Please don’t say anything, I have EEOC working on it, I really don’t think anyone will be able to help. I’am a LPN,was told at work no one could asked me if I was sick, becauce they would have gotten sused, (sick).

My job as a home care provider is very rewarding I love having the opportunity to learn from my elderly clients while spending time with them, but with most of my clients being up in age or very ill sometimes I can’t go to work and theirfor I don’t get paid for the days that they are in the hospital or if they have to be placed in a nursing home so they can hill from a fall or simply because their families have taken a trip and have desided to leave them at home. Becouse of this and the difficulty to find a second job to cover my bills I’ve been evicted from my apt. and I’m now living with my brother and his wife until I over stay my welcome. I only wish I could help with the bills and other expences more than my current paycheck allows.
I love the show I think you have the coolest morning talkshow in the morning its the britest point of my morning next to my cup of joe:). So keep up the good work.

Dear Ellen,
Thank you for making me laugh each day. You make my day and I can’t wait until you come on at 9am. I send the kids off to school and that is my special hour watching you. I was very sick last March. I had strep A pneumonia and toxic sepsis and was in a coma for nine days. As a result I had to have my toes amputated and it left me a little devistated and I’m finding it hard to adjust but I get a little stronger each day. I just want to say thank you because you are such a genuine person, a beautiful person with such a sense of humor. I hope one day when I can afford it to come and see your show. It must be truly a gift to be friends with you. Never lose that beautiful smile. I look so forward to seeing you on American Idol. Best of luck with it. This letter will probably never make it to you but I feel better just knowing I gave it a chance and got the courage up to wrote you.

Ellen, I am a 54 year old male from Indianapolis Indiana. I watch your wonderful show everyday. I just watched the show and heard your story about Matthew. I must admit, I sobbed. I have a 16 year old son and I love him more than life. I can’t even imagine anything like that happening to him. The devistation would be absolutely overwhelming. I guess I should tell you that I am not gay and I don’t believe my son is either, but I honestly couldn’t care less. There’s only one thing in this life that I hate and that is hate itself. We must defeat this awful thing called hate. I honor and respect you for everything that you have done and continue to do. If there is ever anything I can do to help you in this matter, please let me know. I believe that together, we can defeat this awful thing called hate. After all, love is what it’s all about, right? Thank you for everything you do- you are truly a beautiful person. Love, Randy

Hi Ellen,my friend Maureenrecently wrote to you about her daughter Catherine wanting a cool vest to go to the prom. You see Catie is gay and everyone in her school is kind of hard on her because of it. Maureen wrote you and told you how she volunteers ,her grades are always top of the class, she is already going to colledge in her senoir year, and her mom would love for her to go to prom this year. Sophmore year she went and they made fun of her outfit bcause it wasn’t nightclubattire and highheels. She didn’t go last year. Maureen cried as she explained this to me. as her”Auntie Ra” I would love Catie to get a “LapDanceProm”vest. They watch you always, you are Caties’ hero and her mom already wrote you with this request.I’m Caties biggest fan.You would make them both ecstaticeven if you just texted back. So please Ellen, find it in your heart if youcan to make their year. you do so much good I know that you will receive manyblessings. maybe you could spare a small one for Maureen and Catie Thank you and Goddess Bless!

I know after all the hard luck stories you hear, mine may seem minimal. It concerns my daughter who is very much in need of paying off a car that she purchased and now cannot pay for it. We are all struggling right now. I was a caregiver for 94 year old twins. I lost one and the other came to live with me for the last 4 years of her life. Then I lost her april 18th 2008. I havent been able to get employment since then. I am trying hard to keep it together. Wish there were more people in the world who could help others as you do. It always makes me feel better if I can do something for someone. Thanks Ellen for being you and bringing laughter to us inthrough these hard times. We appreciate you, and may the Lord continue to bless you.

Hi Ellen and Staff, I received an email video from a friend that I thought you might enjoy to have on your show as an act. It was soooooo fantastic. The info I have is only: US Naval Performers form Kings Firecrackers. This is a team of girl jumpropers like I and many others have never seen before. They did an 8 min. series at an Army and Navy basketball game in this video. So outstanding that I had to write to you. Love your show and it is the highlight in my day. Wishing you well, RuthAnn Nikles

Dear Ellen,
my wife is one of your biggest fans, she never misses your show, what I need to say is my wife is a very giving person, she is a 16 year breast cancer survivor and even before she ever had cancer she has always had a open and giving heart, I am 84 years of age and my grandson is typing this for me but, I would like very much to see her be a guest on your show so others can see how warm and wonderful she is, she had helped so many people and she never says no if some one needs her help getting through this disease she is there for them, she even helped me get through cancer twice so I have heard her say many times “boy if I just go on ellen’s show and dance the life dance with her, you know how everyday you come out and dance, she get up from the couch and she calls that her life dance because she has lost so many people in her family to cancer and she feel like when she dance it is for all those who she has helped and still helping, so see if you can surprise her with a phone call, but I don’t know if I am supoose to put my phone number on the internet but his is my e-mail address so keep up the good work and may God bless you and your entire staff.

Dear Ellen,
First of all I would like to thank-you for brightning my world every day. My husband and I have a had a very rough last 15 months. Chris (my husband) was diagnosed with colo-rectal cancer on August 28, 2009, which totally devasted us. My husband and I relied on our faith to get us through these times, and I thank God everyday for getting us through. Our families have been a big support to us not only fianancially but emotionally.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we lost our health insurance for 6 1/2 months and had to pay out of pocket expenses. My husbands long term ins. pays him 1149.00 per month and we finally got our ins. back for 312.00 per month until Dec. then it goes to 889.00 per month. After paying for just our normal bills, we are not going to have enough money to pay our ins., therefore we will have to drop our insurance. I have not worked in over 5 years due to health problems so things are looking dismal.
But we have each other and as of right now, Chris is in remission!!!!!!! He can’t return to work because they terminated him for going from short term disability to long term, and he developed neuropathy in his hands and feet from the chemotherapy, which causes him to be in extreme pain constantly.
I would love to be able to reassure him that we are going to be okay finacially, but that is just something that I don’t see happening.
You are the light in our day, Thank-you for making us laugh when we have so much on our plate.
YOUR BIGGEST FAN,
Emmy Scarborough
we will have to drop our insur
ance in order to survive

Dear Ellen, I am a big fan of yours!!! I watch you every day, and when I can’t, I DVR you so I can watch later. Thx for always making me laugh. Times have been hard. I have been laid off now for awhile and unemployment, while something, is not that much. I am living with my fiance and my 7 yr old is living with my mom because I can’t afford to take care of her. I am, really, a single mom. I don’t get child support and my wonderful husband to be pays his. So we are pretty much goning on one income. What he pays out, and what i bring in, equals out to be what he would make if not taking care of his kids. His willingness to keep providing for his kids is one main reason I fell in love with him. That and the fact that he loves me no matter what, and he wants nothing more than to help me get my daughter full time. Watching you every day puts a smile on my face and gives me hope, because you always reassure me that things will get better. You make my heart smile!!!! I know that one day soon, I will be able to provide for my daughter and be the great mom I am. I call her every morning b4 school and every night b4 bed. I get her every wkend. (Her real dad and his family are not a part of her life,) but Brian, my fiance, takes her as his own. I’m staying positive for her… I know we’ll get her someday!!! I really just want to be able to give her a good xmas. I have not been able to do that for her. Luckily for us both, I have a great family that helps and doesn’t let her do without. Any help from you would be so generous, although I know your in high demand for it!!! Thx 4 ur time…. Cincy fan!!!!

Dear Ellen, I love you and your show. I watch every day because you are so funny and entertaining. I am a single parent on disability retirement. Like so many others in this country, I am also financially strapped. I’m upside down on my home and due to lack of funds, I am $25K in credit card debt. I have a beautiful 15 yr. old daughter, whose father abandoned last January when he remarried. She’s turning 16 on Dec.9 and I was afraid that I couldn’t afford a Sweet 16 party. I’m at my credit limit, but decided that she is more important and have chosen not to pay M/C this month.I’ve tried for 3 mortgage loan modifications and a refi, but WAMU won’t work with me, so we’ll probably lose our home. I’ve realized that life is too short and refuse to dwell on the negative. I believe in God and pray each day to follow his will.I pray for the people who are worse off than me and I thank you for helping them. God bless you for being such a giving person and putting a smile on my face each day. Sincerely, Lucille Johnson, #239-694-0938,4260 Williamson Rd., Ft. Myers, Fl. 33905 P.S. I hope your back is feeling better!

Ellen; You have best show on TV. Hope you win award for it. You are the super hostess of all.Love you and show. Thanks also for helping so many unfortunate people too. I haven’t worked in 09 due to mom’s cancer and death, and when her services were over and past I was ready to get back looking for a job,but had a car accident and need to get car fixed, and I had a eye injury due to air bag going off,so now have a blurry right eye and cannot drive until it heals. It is inflamed in center of eye.Thank God no real major damage.Hopefully it will be better soon,so I can go job hunting, even though this is not best time of year to do that, and Xmas coming up,things look a bit bleak.I went through most of my small savings, and am worried how soon I before I can get something to get me working and get a check to survive again.Things are against me because of my age(69) even though I look 55,and am in very good physical shape and great health, thank goodness. If you could play SAnta and help me with some cash,I would be forever indebted and grateful.Thank you ,so much and Merry Christmas,to you and Portia and keep your great work and super show,Love it. Sincerely,M.walsh

dear ellen, my name is christine and im hoping you can help, a few years ago my sister collapsed and i stayed by her side as she passed, although i wouldnt change it i didnt realize the effects it would take on my owm health.. a few after her passing i became very ill, and found out i have a defective heart valve, i have no insuranse to repair it, so my husband and i moved to a small town to try to minimize my stress. he is a mechanic and works very hard, but since i no longer can work we have been struggling ever since. i have found things to keep me busy here in the middle of the woods, nd thats were you come to play, i know you own a pet food brand, and i have been taking in abused and neglected horses, i have 9 now and i recently took in 3 who were almost dead when we picked them up. i was hoping you might be able to help me as they cost alot of money per month between food and medication to get them back to health…we have been caring for them on a limited budget and have now put ourselves in a bind. as well as we have destroyed the transmissin in our car pulling a horse trailer to go and rescue them.. any help you can send me would ensure that i caould continue to help these beautiful creatures… thank you christine avon-barnes.. 72 quail run venus, florida 33960
