I just figured it out with my son! You have to enter into the “world” it doesn’t matter what color or arches or anything. create a username and password, then when you’re in the world you can enter your code via the tab on top, remember to add the -’s and you can only use it once. After you’ve entered your code you get a map up, goto the hotel for dogs in pensylvania area, then enter the hotel for dogs and click on a pet to adopt. Hope this helps…

Go to happymeal.com and make an account for your kid for the mcworld thing. Then you can find a thing at the top of your screen saying ENTER CODE. Mine didn’t work so I had my daughter do the quest to find dogs and she got to adopt one.

From the main screen click the circle with the happymeal for 30 years thing then it opens a new screen and on the top left it tells you were to enter your code.

The fact that you have to register is because you can only use the “pet” in the game.
I just made up something so my child could see the pet. At three, there was only one game he could play so it really wasn’t worth the effort.
