iPhone 4G:iPhone HD?
iPhone 4G:iPhone HD? – With the recent release of the Apple iPad still fresh in our minds, inquiring minds have already turned toward Apple’s next huge launch; the Apple iPhone 4g. While a limited amount of information is currently available about the upcoming iPhone release, the little bit of information that has surfaced in recent weeks has been intriguing to say the least. Engadget recently reported that the mobile device long rumored to be named the “iPhone 4g” will actually be called the “iPhone HD.” Some have speculated that the phone may not be labeled with the “4g” tag because the phone may or may not be able to access 4g wireless internet. Perhaps the convention has more to do with the internet access than the version of the phone after all.
The iPhone 4g will reportedly also feature a 960 x 640 display. This will be in line with recent releases including the Motorola Droid and HTC HD2 that features a similar screen size. Current iPhone’s feature a 320 by 480 pixel resolution. The phone will also reportedly feature an A4 processor that will be similar to the processor that is currently featured in the Apple iPad. The chip was specially designed by Apple, so seeing the chip appear in a multitude of products would make a lot of sense for the company to save on development costs.
The iPhone 4g will also be the first iPhone to feature multi-tasking, which will allow the user to sort through multiple open apps at once. This is a feature that has been included in competing phones recently, and is also a feature the company came under a lot of fire for not including in their earlier releases. This comes as a welcome addition to many iPhone fans. The iPhone 4g will also reportedly feature video conferencing, as hinted to by the front facing camera.
