    It seems simple, when you see it on TV and there is something on which you would like to have more infomation, to go to the KCal9 website and click on “As seen on TV” and get the information you want. However, you get all kinds of other sites and none with “as seen on TV.”

    They are not retarded at all. Most are extremely intelligent. However, instead of giving the news and just the facts, all too many offer a commentary, a personal view of the subject matter. You will find that with not only the weather reporters but others as well. As in your example, it does make them seem unintelligent. I would certainly appreciate the omission of the personal view.

    KCAL should be ashamed for promoting Mia Lee to dress as she does to report the news. Mia Lee should be embarassed she allows it. There is no need to show so much cleavage to report the news; it is degrading and cheap. You would not find a female newscaster on NBC or ABC stooping so low to get ratings. By watching KCAL news, I become part of the problem. I will never watch KCAL news again!

    I don’t see that what Mia Lee shows is more “degrading and cheap” than what is seen on other tv shows or, especially, on Spanish tv. I don’t see that her provocative tight clothing is any more so than those of some of her co-workers either. Perhaps you are just critical of U.S. tv in general or maybe American culture.

    Mia has a beautiful as well as sexy body, no doubt placed there to get males to watch the news and it works on most (normal) males. Wouldn’t you prefer to watch a handsome male give you the news on tv? Well, then . . .

    I live in Zip Code 92570 and can’t get a Digital TV Signal. My son lives in Zip Code 92614 and he can’t get a Digital TV Signal. We both have the Converter Boxes hooked up correctly. The “Guru’s” at the TV stations say that the Digital TV Signals are much weaker than the Analog Signals. Would someone clarify this?

    This is an outrage. No other time has there been a funeral prossion on the freeway, where the CHP has ran a traffic break. So from now on, anytime a citizen of Ca. dies, and the prossion needs to be on a freeway, the CHP will have to run a traffic break. That’s only fair, and nondiscrimintory.

    It’s not that the signal is weaker, it’s because digital signals are more line of site than analog, and on a narrower bandwidth. If you and your son are using rabbit-ears, go to a good externally mounted antenea. But if you live near to the base of a hill, in a valley, other large items in between you and the transmitter on Mt. Baldy, you’ll never get a signal. Tim M.

    This is a comment about the reports of the traffic congestion in Los Angeles that we are spending alot of times in the freeway wasting alot of time, fuel and at the same time contributing to the pollution of the environment.
    First, this will generate more revenues to the cities in Los Angeles by wasting all this fuel. Second, does everybody think that LOs Angeles officials and Caltrans does not know the real caause of it because I think this is deliberate for polititical and commercial reasons.
    This is the comment. why there is so much cingestion in Los Angeles.
    1. A BOTTLENECK in the freeway is one of the reasons. Example of this is the 405 freway northbound and southbound to the 10 freeway, there is 4 lanes in the 405 freeway then bottlenecks to three lanes after passing 10 freeway exit. If Caltrans can make this a three lane only going to the 405 freeway with no merging lanes will be better. Example of this is the 101freeway northound and southbound to the 405 freeway.
    2. Freeway entrance to the freeway should be of a considerable distance if two freeways are involved. Example is the Santa Monica entrance to the 405 freeway southbound and 10 freeway east and west bound. Cars will try to cross three lanes to go to the 405 freeway southbound and slowing traffic. If wilshire will be the entrance, it will be better. This scenario applies to other freeway congestions.
    3. Another scenario are freeway merging to one lane, why not avoid this and instead make individual lanes for each freeway merging. Example is the 110freeway northbound to the 101freeway northbound.
    4. Merging freeways with an exit that is not of a reasonable distance should be avoided. Example is the 10freeway eastbound and the 110freeway northbound merge with very close freeway exits creates a lot of traffic as cars from the 110 freeway northbound will try to cross twoo lanes to exit.
    If, I am the only one who know this scenarios of traffic congestion, it is very pathetic for government officials and Caltrans who are not capable of thinking are in the position where they are at. Sorry Los Angeles we are governed by people who are only politicians, businessman or people who do not know what they are doing. I hope nobody is surprised, this is Los Angeles, very big city and maybe only governed by only very few good men.

    About the traffic congestion in Los Angeles as far as I am concerned, I an OK with it. M y work is 30 miles from home amd it only tales me the most, one hour to and from work/home even on the worst traffic congestion. I am from the Philippines, so I know how to drive in traffic, this does not meam that I follow traffic rules but never have a ticket for 15 vears only lots of horn honking and fingers. I dont care reality does it and I have to adjust to it.

    It’s good to see the above comments about Mia Lee are not as negative as on some websites. Yes, she did flaunt her bust line but that was part of her attractiveness. I don’t watch the mid-day news quite as much now that she is gone but her attractiveness was more than her curvy body and beautiful features. It was also her excitability, her mannerisms, her personality in general. She provided some color to the sometimes boring news.

    I wish her well and hope her recent marriage works out.
