Lenovo 3000 Y410 Quietly Released

Without making any noise or any press, the Lenovo 3000 Y410 laptop arrived in the US.
The 14.1-inch in a boxy silver case the 1,280 x 800 model costs about $700.
It has few entertainment-oriented features that you wouldn’t normally find on a business machine such as Dolby Home Theater audio with a subwoofer, the ability to play CDs without booting the system, and a media player called Shuttle Center.
The laptop is also the first to pair a built-in 1.3-megapixel Webcam with a VeriFace software to provide biometric security via face recognition.
The Y410 is available only at retail stores currently, Office Depot, Micro Center, and Staples but not on Lenovo’s site.
