Leo Apotheker New HP CEO
Leo Apotheker New HP CEO – Hewlett-Packard Co. has named former SAP CEO Leo Apotheker as its new chief executive and chairman, on Thursday.
Apotheker replaces Mark Hurd, who was fired on Aug. 6 by presenting inaccurate expense reports related to a contractor.
The statement issued on the matter, read Apotheker “transformed R&D and technology platforms and expanded business models and customer segments.”
HP’s board also named Ray Lane as non-executive chairman. Lane is the managing partner of the venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
Both appointments will be effective on November 1st.
