Mr. Huckabee, I saw a brief on you on fox. I like your way of thinking and would vote for you in a second. We need someone in their that can handle congress and help our people of this nation beforewe attempt to help others. we have so many people that are working class that are losing so much. I cannot believe in our government. I’m in Calif. and just look what Our so called governor has done to this state. 5th largest economy in the world, and this state is suposedly broke? He wants to tax my industry which is already is hurting. there is a story about this in California golf Jan-feb issue page 34. My livelyhood and alot of others are at risk as well as kids in programs. I love what I do but will probably not continue if our industry gets hit by the Terminator. I believe that if you run 2012 that you would be afresh face that I know will get this country on top.I hope you do. You have my Vote.

Mike — Just saw your interview with Ken Robinson. Interesting fellow. You should both be telling people that consciousness IS creativity, and that’s all there is, because it is the very NATURE of consciousness to create. Period. So encouraging same in kids, the earlier in their lives the better, and helping them discover themselves, only makes good sense. I look forward to reading the book.

    Dear Mike Huckabee:

As a Canadian, who enjoys your program, I am concerned with the “Buy American” provision in the stimulus package. With the Canadian and American economies integrated almost seemlessly, it will hurt both economies, as they try to get out of this economic mess. Does President Obama realize that he is going to be the cause of a trade war between these two great partners? Canada sends the majority of their natural resource, including oil and natural gas to America first. Will this cause the United States to have uncertain oil and gas supplies, thanke to this clause? What is your view on this clause in the stimulus bill Mr. Huckabee?

  21. Paul Harris | Feb 2, 2009 | Reply

I like so many other want to know why so many politicians get a pass on paying taxes. As has been pointed out by many , if it were me they would take me to the cleaners and get all I owed and all kinds of penalties. What is wrong with us ( the voters ). Why do we let them back into office time after time ? God has provided for me, I paid my house off, I am paying my taxes. If it is just a mistake for these so called whiz kids to not know how to do thier taxes, why would we want them in charge of anything ? Of course it is not a mistake, they only admit it when they get caught and then they say Opp’s. Why will no one listen and do the right thing? Is there really anyone in charge ? The united States of America is in real trouble.

    Hey Mike,

Thought you had a link to all the senators and congressmen so we could tell them what we think of the stimulus bill. I can’t seem to find the link!

I think we should cut back on the pay of all of them, along with taking back some of their perks. Like vacations that none of the rest of us can afford. After all Obama says we all need to help out. Maybe even cut down on their car allowances and travel expenses.

We should have an immediate investigation of all of them to see who and who isn’t paying their taxes. If they haven’t, they should be fired. Are you kidding me the head of the IRS is a tax cheat? Boy they think the American public is stupid. But of course we are, we put in Obama.

My grandchildren are not growing up in the country that I did. What a shame that we handed over this country to a bunch of socialist!

I’ve not read the plan, so I count on the news channels to guide me and after hearing all the cable chatter I just don’t think that the stimulus plan is right and I don’t think that Washington is listening to the the people at all, after all the money that we’ve spent on the economy and not really made a difference,I think that Washington should go back with a microscope and find out what caused this problem and fix it, this is there duty to the people, they take the money, now there is no money. Most of Americans can’t spend money they don’t have, but Washington can. I want to stop the stimulus plan, so it can be rewrote, more to what Americans need, not what Washington needs. Please let me know how to stop this bill, I’ve tried to get on nostimulus.com and can’t get nothing but I want to let my voice be heard and counted, please help me soon. THANKS

So far I’ve had no success – phone busy – unable to find an e-mail address ete. etc. My wife and I are not part of his immediate constituency, however feel he is supposed to represent ALL the people and in this instance we feel he is giving in to the pressure of the left and the fact that a vote against might affect his reelection. Dear Mr. Huckabee
Being the frugal person that I am and living in Chester VA I could buy 1 loaf of Bread, 1 doz Eggs, 1 gal of Milk, 1/2 pound of Butter, 1/4 lb of Ham and 1 gal gasoline for my 13 year old car.
As a tax payer, I would like every member of the House and Senate who voted for the Stimulus Bill without reading it or understanding it to resign or be prosecuted for fraud.
The first thing each responsible citzen leans is “ignorance is no excuse”. All those who bought houses without reading or understanding the loan contracts they signed and are now unable to pay for their loans do not get to keep their house. How respossible are our representatives to put each and very one of us into debt by voting for a bill they didn’t read or understand? If the President wants to do the “right thing” he should sent the bill back to congress and make every representative and senator read the Stimulus Package and then vote again based on knowing everything in the bill, before President Obama signs it into law.
If the President and speaker of the House wants to pass a Bill for each member of the House and Senate to give up their salaries and benefits are our representatives and senators willing to vote “yes” on that bill as blindly as they did the stimulus Package??
The Congressional Relief Action Program is indeed a bunch of CRAP.
    Sincerely

I am a retired citizen and on a limited income. I also agree with the Fair-Tax issue but am concerned with the Stimulus Bill being signed into law what chance is there the Democratic Majority would even begin to discuss a Fair-Tax, let along pass any legislation. The liberal agenda could not function under the Fair-Tax because would have to run the government by being fiscally responsible and considering what they just passed, with the help of three Republicans, there is no way they are going to discuss tax cuts in any serious maner. At some point they will run out of reasons to blame President Bush for everything under the Sun and have to take responsibility for their own decisions. At that point maybe the American people will begin to understand how the Democratic Congress has hurt this country with the passage of the Stimulus Bill.

I admit to being close to 61 years, it has given a chance to learn a great deal from people wiser than myself.

Growing up in a good solid middle class community the only stimulus we ever used or heard of was fiber. You want to get things moving in a normal direction in a normal manner nothing works like fiber once or twice a day.

Apparently we have a good number of Legislators in Washington, and sadly a couple from Pennsylvania, who are full of a substance that only fiber will help to get moving again.

I am not claiming to be a physician or witch doctor, but I think we as loyal Americans should start sending our Legislators in Washington D.C. fiber capsules to get them moving again.

Their idea of a Stimulus Package to help America to regain her position in the world has so far only improved the position of America’s CEOs and Bankers.

We have replaced incompetent, greedy and self serving legislators in the past and we need to do it again. President Truman very correctly and wisely stated “The Buck Stops Here!”

We need to start at the top with our donations of fiber capsules to get things moving again in the right direction. Don’t put it off another minute start sending your fiber. Then we must all start looking for good solid, respectable and legislators with a servant’s heart to replace those in Washington.

Hey mike for 20 years my wife and i lived in a mobile home. I had begged her for a while to buy a home and she finally agreed. We put a limit on what we would spend and talked to an agent about how much we wanted to spend.to make a long story short we found a home in our price range and did not go above our means.thats why we feel we should not have to help people who put themselves in a home that they should not be in.how long do we sit back and let our govt. that is supposed to be working for us to tell us that we are responsable for other peoples stupidity when all it would have taken was a little thought prosses. We love your show and we truely hope to see you in the next presidential race because we dont need another four years like this.

During FDR the tire dealers, tailors and others were threatened in the same way – in 1935 the Schlechter brothers had an NRA ruling overturned over chickens they sold – It’s outlined in New Deal or Raw Deal by Burton Folsom.

I own my own real estate company for 18 years. I deal with people that are losing their homes or they are in a short sale problem. I get calls everyday from people, young and old, wanting to know how they can save their home. It’s hard. I have to tell them their property is only worth what it was worth back in 2003. They get mad at me, but I have to tell them the truth. How can I help these good people that have worked so hard all of their lives, and now they are going under. I have a few Ideas that could work, but no one wants to listen. Maybe you, the caring person that you are, may be able to help. All I need is a little financial backing to help with financial adviser, a couple of lawyers that can help nego. their mortgages. Just give these people a break. We are not looking for a free pass, we just want a chance to made things good. I was raised in a good christisn family, and that means helping others even when it doesn’t help you. God pays back to the good. So, all I am asking for is to get the word out that a lot of good people need a little help.

I discovered that in 1962 Congress omitted product liability for defective prescription drugs and preempted the law. This leaves the American Consumer at risk. This has been going on for many years and the Health,Education, Energy and pension Committees have know this and did nothing about it. There is NO law,No Federal law and No state law for a remedy for anyone who is killed or injured by a defective prescription drug. Check it out go to the FDCA Act of 1962. I have investigated this for 10 years and have evidence that can prove what I say is true. I watch your program all the time and I think it is great. You need to help get the “truth” out to the people thru mainstream media. The facts on national health reform, “cap and trade” and the stimulus package need to get the the general public. I enjoy your show but segments like the one on Canadian style health care need to get “more public” attention. As a small biz owner it is clear that the Obama administration doeas not care about us but rather the “big” companies, especially those with large number of union workers, are his preference. The folks in D.C. are killing the small companies andwe will have to closeor lay off more people to pay all the tax hikes for the new legislation and a much “too big” government. I listened to your show tonight and heard Dan Quayle speaking about “entitlements”, namely Social Security and Medicare. We need drastic cuts or huge tax increases in the near future to continue with these “entitlements”. To me, this always makes it sound like charity. I have been contributing to those funds for the last 40+ years and my employer has contributed the same percentage as me. What’s going to happen to all that money? Why is it not there for me now? This stinks. I’m going to have to work until I drop dead on the job probably. Who spent all my money? Where did it all go and why is it not going to be there for my retirement? Do you have any idea what I would have in my retirement account now if I had been able to invest all that money myself all these years?
Do you think this is fair? I want my money back.
Please respond. I’ve written a similar letter to all kinds of politicians and pundits and I really would like an answer.

Abortion is not stated as such, but is in the healthcare bill.
Tax payers should not foot the bill for abortions BECAUSE pregnancy is not a disease, it’s preventable, has alternatives (adoption), and free abortions only increase the risk of irrsponsible sexual behaviors. (don’t worry the gov. will pay for it)

If you what an abortion, pay for it yourself.

    Dear Mr. Huckabee,
I love you and most of what you stand for. I am an Evangelical Christian member of an SBC church. I voted and worked for you in the Maryland primary.
However I do not think your stand on the Holy Land is right. Your show on this issue was very one sided. How would you feel if your land were invaded by a people from another area of the world. Would you not fight back? Well the facts on the ground have been established, but is there no justice. Do you not believe that Arab people can be transformed? Are they not childeren of God? Have you talked to Christian Arabs some even Evangelical? There needs to be a fair two state solution and Jerusalem should be divided between the states. I do not hate the Jews. They suffered beyond measure in WWII and the Christian Church as an establishment shares some of the blame, but I am not a Christian Zionist in order to take our burden away. Israel is not a Holy state. It was not established by God, but by force of arms. I really hope you will reconsider this thinking. My trust in your judgment has been shaken. May God bless you and yours.

Mike. Just saw an ad on TV for upcoming political discussions by various people, on Fox News.

Some are going to be discussions about our wars currently going on. Some are going to be discussions about Health Care. Some are about the Iranian situation.

The part of the ad about Mike Huckabee is the same old same. “Mike jams with the Little Rockers”. How lame.

If you want to be taken serious again, about being a political figure, give up this musical career. Maybe now and then. But every show? Rediculous.

We get it. You are a wannabee rock star. I’m sorry to break the news but that ship has sailed. Either you are a serious political figure, or you are not. Conservatives are not looking for a “jack of all trades and a master of none”.

Unless you have just decided you can not excell in the political arena and have moved on to other things. In that case, good luck with your new career and we can start looking for another conservative candidate to voice our desires.

For a moment I thought Huckabee was seriously congratulating the President on the Nobel Peace Prize award. You didn’t. The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to someone who “shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses”.

You mock the Nobel Peace Prize, the committee and the President. Your attacks are no different from Rush L. Your attacks are just softer, with humor.

I am a Citizen, who has served, Honorably. My advice to you, is the next time you publicly critize the President, ask yourself what would Jesus do? No sarcasm or hidden offenses from me. We have enough commedians.

Today the Senate passed a “Mark” which is a Document not a bill. If my memory serves me well this was not the proper proceedure, however the democrates are making their own rules here lately,so I guess we are stuck with it. My question is: Why is congress wasting so much time on a bill/s that No Tax Payers want and we have told them so at the town hall meetings, yet they have done noting to FIX the economy and put people back to work? Why are they spending this country into debt that can not be repaid? It appears that the EGO’S of some politicians is more i,portant than the walfare of the country.

Mr. Oboma is right, it is time to Cange, Congress, The Senate and The White House!
