LEGISLATIVE PROPOSAL FOR TREASURY AUTHORITY
TO PURCHASE MORTGAGE-RELATED ASSETS
Section 1. Short Title.
This Act may be cited as ____________________.
Sec. 2. Purchases of Mortgage-Related Assets.
(a) Authority to Purchase.–The Secretary is authorized to purchase, and to make and fund commitments to purchase, on such terms and conditions as determined by the Secretary, mortgage-related assets from any financial institution having its headquarters in the United States.
(b) Necessary Actions.–The Secretary is authorized to take such actions as the Secretary deems necessary to carry out the authorities in this Act, including, without limitation:
(1) appointing such employees as may be required to carry out the authorities in this Act and defining their duties;
(2) entering into contracts, including contracts for services authorized by section 3109 of title 5, United States Code, without regard to any other provision of law regarding public contracts;
(3) designating financial institutions as financial agents of the Government, and they shall perform all such reasonable duties related to this Act as financial agents of the Government as may be required of them;
(4) establishing vehicles that are authorized, subject to supervision by the Secretary, to purchase mortgage-related assets and issue obligations; and
(5) issuing such regulations and other guidance as may be necessary or appropriate to define terms or carry out the authorities of this Act.
Sec. 3. Considerations.
In exercising the authorities granted in this Act, the Secretary shall take into consideration means for–
(1) providing stability or preventing disruption to the financial markets or banking system; and
(2) protecting the taxpayer.
Sec. 4. Reports to Congress.
Within three months of the first exercise of the authority granted in section 2(a), and semiannually thereafter, the Secretary shall report to the Committees on the Budget, Financial Services, and Ways and Means of the House of Representatives and the Committees on the Budget, Finance, and Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs of the Senate with respect to the authorities exercised under this Act and the considerations required by section 3.
Sec. 5. Rights; Management; Sale of Mortgage-Related Assets.
(a) Exercise of Rights.–The Secretary may, at any time, exercise any rights received in connection with mortgage-related assets purchased under this Act.
(b) Management of Mortgage-Related Assets.–The Secretary shall have authority to manage mortgage-related assets purchased under this Act, including revenues and portfolio risks therefrom.
(c) Sale of Mortgage-Related Assets.–The Secretary may, at any time, upon terms and conditions and at prices determined by the Secretary, sell, or enter into securities loans, repurchase transactions or other financial transactions in regard to, any mortgage-related asset purchased under this Act.
(d) Application of Sunset to Mortgage-Related Assets.–The authority of the Secretary to hold any mortgage-related asset purchased under this Act before the termination date in section 9, or to purchase or fund the purchase of a mortgage-related asset under a commitment entered into before the termination date in section 9, is not subject to the provisions of section 9.
Sec. 6. Maximum Amount of Authorized Purchases.
The Secretary’s authority to purchase mortgage-related assets under this Act shall be limited to $700,000,000,000 outstanding at any one time
Sec. 7. Funding.
For the purpose of the authorities granted in this Act, and for the costs of administering those authorities, the Secretary may use the proceeds of the sale of any securities issued under chapter 31 of title 31, United States Code, and the purposes for which securities may be issued under chapter 31 of title 31, United States Code, are extended to include actions authorized by this Act, including the payment of administrative expenses. Any funds expended for actions authorized by this Act, including the payment of administrative expenses, shall be deemed appropriated at the time of such expenditure.
Sec. 8. Review.
Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.
Sec. 9. Termination of Authority.
The authorities under this Act, with the exception of authorities granted in sections 2(b)(5), 5 and 7, shall terminate two years from the date of enactment of this Act.
Sec. 10. Increase in Statutory Limit on the Public Debt.
Subsection (b) of section 3101 of title 31, United States Code, is amended by striking out the dollar limitation contained in such subsection and inserting in lieu thereof $11,315,000,000,000.
Sec. 11. Credit Reform.
The costs of purchases of mortgage-related assets made under section 2(a) of this Act shall be determined as provided under the Federal Credit Reform Act of 1990, as applicable.
Sec. 12. Definitions.
For purposes of this section, the following definitions shall apply:
(1) Mortgage-Related Assets.–The term “mortgage-related assets” means residential or commercial mortgages and any securities, obligations, or other instruments that are based on or related to such mortgages, that in each case was originated or issued on or before September 17, 2008.
(2) Secretary.–The term “Secretary” means the Secretary of the Treasury.
(3) United States.–The term “United States” means the States, territories, and possessions of the United States and the District of Columbia.

Whenever Congress tries to fix problems it scares me to death! Many times the cure is worse than the disease. To help the poor and less fortunate, a noble intention surely, President Clinton and his administration put forth legislation to force banks to give loans to people who couldn´t afford to pay them back and the Fannie and Freddie were allowed to run amuck. PLEASE DO NOT SAY THAT THE ABUSES WERE CAUSED BY THE REPUBLICANS. I believe that all of you have extremely selective memories, especially at election time. It amazes me that any intelligent person can honestly believe that you can tax the rich and big business to the point that they will not look for other places to invest their money. Who but small and large business can offer the rest of us jobs? You talk about championing small business and rewarding businesses that stay here and employ our people. Wonderful! Then you turn around and tie their hands by proposing to raise corporate taxes (Ours are second highest in the world after Japan!)if Demos win the election and tie the hands of all businesses, regardless of size, with things like mark to market (SUSPEND IT NOW!)
Some advice. (1). Stop pointing fingers. I´d like to send little mirrors to administration and the members of Congress and all voters. Everyone of us shares the blame. A little personal responsibility would go a long way!
(2). Remember what Mary Poppins said: A spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down. Stop having news conferences where all the faces are Demos or Republicans. (3) My mother always said GOD DOESN´T LIKE UGLY! Be civil. (4) Don´t try to play the stupid – an old family saying which means you know better but to achieve some end you say something you know is false. As any practicing Catholic knows, we believe AND HAVE ALWAYS BELIEVED that “life” begins at conception. Come on, Mrs. Pelosi! You must have been listening as closely as your candidate was in his church for 20 years.(5) Please ACTUALLY READ the bills being considered and try to anticipate their consequences before voting. Please insist upon it and tell all Congressmen and women to listen to their constituents and represent THEM. Ask them to do a better job at understanding the workings of bills and doing a better job of explaining it to us. Vote their consciences, even if they are not reelected.

I do not admire your tactics during the wall street/economic crisis. I believe they were out of line and without substance. If you recall the republicans warned the Democrats that steps needed to be taken to prevent this crisis from happening. However, the democrats blocked this from happening. (This is proven because it is recorded on film which has been shown by Fox). Yet, you go on National television and rip apart the Busch Administration for the market crisis. Let me remind you it was largely the democrats who benefited greatly from the organizations that caused the mortgage crisis. Someday someone is going to have to explain the ethical behavior not to mention logic in giving high mortgages to people who can not afford to pay them. Also, it is the left wing organization ACORN supported by Obama and other democrats that is also at fault and causing voter registration fraud and possibly votes. The behavior of ACORN goes against our democracy and why should Americans have to support this type of organization with tax payers dollars when it causes such damage to our economy, establishment and reputation to our Nation. Your so worried about America not being respected around the world due to policies of the Bush Administration. Take a good look at what your left wing liberal organizations and fellow senators have done to the American economy. Its a joke to point fingers and put on such a rightous act when you support organizations and are guilty of blocking the very steps that would have prevented this crisis from happening. Barney Frank is guilty, Cox is guilty, etc. etc. and I hope there is an investigation and justice prevails. I hope they realize that if Obama is elected president he will take hard earned money from various individuals and hand it over to those who did not work for it. That is socialism. No cards are easy to get approved for anymore. Consumer credit lines have now been cut by over $2.5 Trillion (last week’s figures, thru end-July). Credit lines are being reduced or eliminated entirely. New credit is not being extended unless you have excellent credit.
If you can get a new credit card application approved, the amount of the credit limit will depend on your income and amount of credit currently available to you.

non-veteran inmates, according to reports. However, researchers can not say why. Studies have compared the populations of inmates who served in the military and those who did not. Veterans are half as likely to be incarcerated as the overall male population in the first place.
At any given time there are tens of thousands of U.S. Military veterans incarcerated in the United States. Many of these are being detained temporarily for non violent crimes, and will be released within a few hours, days, or maybe, weeks. This type of incarceration seldom results in the need for emergency intervention from the VA or other veteran service organizations. Many more of these veterans are in jail for serious crimes and will be there for several months to several years. And some, those sentenced to life, will leave the prison only after they die. Over a decade ago, an estimated 56,500 Vietnam War-era veterans and 18,500 Persian Gulf War-era veterans were held in State and Federal prisons. 1 in 5 veterans in prison or jail reported seeing combat duty during their military service.
PROJECT R.E.A.C.H., INC., has spoken to and with many veteran inmates, as well as military veteran released. Many feel they never received the necessary treatment or guidance after returning from war. Further suggesting, that you and members of congress lend assistance in dealing with this great atrocity and grant a second chance to non violent military veteran inmates, including allowing younger veterans to re-enlist.

Attention all House of Representatives and Senators and President, Barack Obama:
First, I want to start off by stating I hope you all have a very happy and prosperous new year in 2010. By watching the news in the last year, it has come to the attention of many Americans living in today’s times that we have endured many challenges (soaring unemployment rate, depressed recession, and Americans are concerned about current/future uncertainties in our country) in the past year and are hopeful for a new and positive year ahead.
If you have been following the polls in the past few months, you will notice the majority of Americans do not want their current healthcare compromised by implementing a national health care reform bill. A large majority of the current uninsured Americans do not wish to have health insurance for themselves and/or their family. For all of you who voted in favor of this bill prior to the Christmas holidays, I am sure you discovered a rude awakening when you went home to spend time with your loved ones. We are hopeful this was enough to convince a large majority of you that the message speaks for itself – please kill the healthcare reform bill before it is too late. Please keep in mind that if you choose to vote for this bill, you will be a willing participant in the deteriorating health care provided to all Americans in the years to come. Foremost, if nothing else, please think about your children and grandchildren and how this bill will impact their lives tremendously in the future. I know some of you feel threatened about losing your seat in office if you do not vote for this bill which is absolutely ludicrous. You need to remember to vote for what is best for the American people and your belief system (core values and morals). Former Senator, Ted Kennedy should not be the sole reason why you should vote in favor of this bill if this is not what the nation wants as a whole. I strongly urge you to listen to the American public and recognize the fact that the majority do not want this bill passed. Please remember that when you go to make your final vote on this bill in the coming months ahead. Believe me, we are paying attention in the world today and know about all the troubles headed our way if this bill is passed into legislation. The “special favors” that were given to a few of the Senators is totally unjustified and should not be enforced for overall equality in this country. This is not setting a good example by the Democrat party when these types of favors are imposed “to win a vote” and all states are not treated equally regarding all policies passed. The majority of Americans are taking notice of the fact that the current administration is being more forceful, greedy and intolerant of views from the other party in comparison to past administrations and this sends a very unfavorable message to all Americans. All Democrats and Republicans should unite together and consider all possible options regarding the future of our healthcare and it should not be taken lightly (to include the minority healthcare plan that the Republicans are considering since it will obviously save our country more money in the future and provide better healthcare to all Americans and/or making the necessary changes to the current House and Senate bills passed). It is amazing how much better the government system will work as a whole if you can all come together as one to provide the best outcome for our country. Lastly, a corrective measure needs to be dealt with concerning the tort reform. It seems a number of people including attorneys believe anyone can be sued for medical malpractice, and I believe this is a major area that is causing our medical rates to increase at an alarming rate. I urge you to take corrective action on this matter as soon as possible to avoid further problems in the future.
I urge you to please think about what is most important for our country and what is best for all Americans living today when you vote for this bill. Both the Republicans and Democrats need to stand bi-partisan on this issue and all issues, and it is evident one side seems to be shutting out the other side which sends a very negative message. Please take into consideration that this is clearly not a good thing for our country if one party is against what the other side is trying to impose on all Americans. Remember the heat of a battle, such as this one, can cause a little core of self-centeredness to harden in your heart, so subtly that you are not even aware of it at the time. One party seems so close-minded when it comes to this bill so all view points are not evaluated to best determine the right outcome for the good of our country. There has been so much time wasted on one party blaming the other party for the current state of the economy and if the current administration continues their current spending habits it will further jeopardize our country (inflation, double-dip recession, and continued high unemployment rates). Please put aside all the blame and bitterness so the best decisions can be made that will have a positive impact on our country in the future.
I would like to express with much sadness, how much I have seen the political arena change over the years – it seems some individuals are only out to slander others and I think greed also plays a large part due to all the negative outcomes we endure in our daily lives. We need to remember to love others as we love God and we can only hope that the US Government will do their part in protecting us rather than implement policies to control our lives. This will only lead to a prejudiced view of the ones who have been voted into office to protect us from harm.
In conclusion, I ask that you all work together diligently in making the right decisions for the good of all Americans and our country in the new year ahead. It is always best to pray hard to God about your actions and decisions that you plan to enforce to make sure it is in God’s plans and timing for the core of our nation. Otherwise, it will only lead to wrong judgments and many failures that lie ahead. I will continue to pray to the good Lord for our President, Barack Obama, Congress, and our country as a whole and know that things will turn out for the best in the end. God already knows how this whole situation will turn out in the end, and I pray everyone will follow through on their part to please Him in this situation and the other issues that come before us in the future.

It is clear that Satan is under attack regarding the current political agenda in our world today. How else can you explain the demented minds of those in Congress and the White House. Under Obama’s current hidden agenda, he is stopping at nothing to pass all these bills that include frivolous spending and, I am starting to think he enjoys making the American people swarm and beg for mercy. He is turning our country into a huge mockery and everyone needs to wake up before it is too late. I guarantee you over time the health care reform bill and the cap and trade bills will both only result in nothing but trillions of taxpayer dollars and nothing else will be accomplished. The most frightening thing is that all these diehard Democrats are oblivious under Obama’s control and am puzzled by the fact that they can stand and support someone that continues to threaten our country and hire these prior criminals to represent what we stand for in America. America will never be the same after the current administration has done all the damage to us. Please take a stand against all of them in the 2010 elections and vote for the conservative smart party rather than this corrupted party with a hidden agenda only out to destroy all of us and our country. There is plenty of evidence in the world today via books, Fox News and the other media sources available to anyone. Let’s stand united with each other and force them to stop all the frivolous spending before we raise the bar even higher on our deplorable debt. It is no wonder there are so many dumb people living in this world today and our country is in the worst mess ever under the current Democratic administration. I could not have said it better myself. The current party is not here to protect us because they would rather control us. I depise Obama (the BIG EAR President – ha, ha) to the point where I don’t even bother listening to his stupid speeches on tv. As your constituent, a voter and taxpayer, I want you to know that I strongly oppose government-run health care. A government-run health care system will measurably harm the interests of my family and me.
As you reconcile your bill with the Senate bill, remember the following is unacceptable to me.
Decrease the quality of my health care. Under government-run health care, I’ll see my doctor for less time, receive less preventative medicine and spend more time waiting for important medical procedures.
Marginalize the health care of seniors. Under government-run health care, the Greatest Generation will be treated the worst in the health system.
Limit my access to health care. Under government-run health care, lines will be longer, waiting will increase and doctor-time will decrease. Additionally, mandated insurance will force me to purchase coverage I don’t want and deprive me of coverage I need.
Increase cost. Under government-run health care, costs will balloon beyond recognition. When the government picks up the tab for health care, neither doctors nor patients have any incentive to reduce cost or limit use. As a result, the United States will be forced to either increase taxes on middle-class Americans or increase debt to creditor nations.
Please know as you prepare to vote on government-run health care that I will be paying close attention.

The Turbulent Year 2010 To Be the Year of Great Consequences
“As I said last year, 2009 was a gloomy year, though not quite a bad as I predicted. Of course, this does not mean I was wrong, only that with Herculean efforts, the worst was put off to a bit later, though not stopped only stalled.
Upcoming in this year will be the second fall in the Global Depression. This will start with nations failing in their sovereign debt and will quickly spiral out of control for vast areas, followed by more break down in civil order and war. Oil prices will not rise to much further in real value, though they will to some degree in dollars as inflation kicks in and pushes things up, even as a lack of demand drives prices down. However, by the end of the year, oil will see a large increase due to supply constraints caused by geopolitical issues: first in Mexico, than in Venezuela and finally in the Persian Gulf.

US/NATO forces will be unable to control the nation even with extra military assets. The fighting will escalate and so will casualties. and why Barack Obama’s plan will not work
Financial disaster is coming to America and the bailout is not going to help solve this- only make it worse- because the tremendous waste of government spending is not going to create enough high paying jobs. As a result- the average American family will still not be able to pay their monthly bills. Let me explain why using a generic example…
Right now the average middle class family is paying – depending on the city- $350 a month in property taxes, $150 a month for car insurance, $150 a month for health insurance, $150 a month in state taxes, $200 a month for gas…
The total comes to $1,000 a month. This estimate is conservative- because in liberal states like New York and California the property taxes would be close to $800 a month alone. And in some states vehicle tag fees can range anywhere from $200 a year to $1,000…
Now – this does not take into account electricity, water, a car payment, food, cell phone….
Lets add those in…. food ($250), electricity and water ($200), car payment ($400), cell phone ($50).. now the total is $1,900.00
Please note that nowhere above is the word rent or mortgage or even things for your family- miscellaneous necessities- (tires, oil change, birthday presents, Christmas presents, school supplies…..)
So lets add those in- mortgage/ rent ($1,200), clothes ($50), miscellaneous expenses ($50) …
Now the total comes to $3,200 and this does not include entertainment- or vacations…
$3,200 multiplied by 12 months equals- $38,400. This is just to break even… without a vacation or entertainment costs…
This is liberalism… tax hard working people in order to spend money not on just those on that are misfortunate- but using taxes to pay for overseas abortions, wasteful government programs and for those that just do not want to work hard…
Please note that liberals are against drilling for oil in Alaska, they are for raising taxes, they are for state income taxes, raising federal income taxes – income redistribution…. they are not for the middle class!
After paying for all the monthly expense above- the American family lived on credit. However- there is no more credit available.
However- what is Barack Obama’s solution to this? Obama wants to create jobs through shovel ready projects. Please note that this does not create businesses and these jobs are not paying $40,000 per year. These jobs are paying $25,000 per year.
And what everyone is missing in this whole crises is two things. First- food stamps and shovel ready projects are an inefficient method for stimulus. Before the money gets into the economy- people have to process it. There are costs involved- you have to pay people to process it, there is rent for buildings for the people to work in to process it, there is paperwork…. By the time – the money gets into the economy it is about 20 cents on the dollar. However- a tax cut is dollar for dollar- it puts money right in the hands of people. Second- during the Great Depression- there were no credit checks. Today- to get a good job- a high paying job- you need to have good credit- but so many people have bad credit – because they have been let go from their jobs and are unable to pay their bills.
As a result- Obama’s plan will not solve the financial crises in America – only prolong it.

The President and Congress have gone mad and it is high time we set stop them in their tracks due to all their damage control. They are about to make some big mistakes in regard to the future of their constituents. Each time one of these insane bills are passed and fail, Obama’s disapproval rating will continue to soar through the roof. These bills include the cap and trade and the health care reform bills for starters which will result in many more job losses, hyperinflation, and higher taxes for everyone. You think the country is mad now, just wait until these get put in force. You have not seen outrage until that time. If you truly cared about us, you would listen to us and take the corrective measures that were best for us and our country. You are going to be seen as the enemy even moreso than you are right now. You are already being shunned by millions of Americans because of your current failures. Obama needs to throw in his hat because he has clearly demonstrated is not type of leader that our country needs. He is jeopardizing the safety in our country everyday and he continues not to take the necessary actions to protect us. He is so un-American and within time I can only hope the Democrats start to wake up and see him for the evil and arrogant man he is and how he is not in favor of us at all.
Please stop Obamacare now!!! I can’t stress that enough right now since Congress is getting ready to meet again soon to settle their differences. I am hearing a person will get 5 years in prison if they do not pay for insurance. This is unconstitutional along with all the “special favors” they have given to certain states. I am starting to believe they are against what the constitution says since our forefathers wrote it many years ago. There is terribly something wrong with the people in Congress and the President. We choose to live in America because we have freedom to live our lives everyday and are proud of our country. The type of bills the current administration is trying to enforce will just lead to companies taking their business overseas, more Americans fleeing the states, and more people not work as much or quit all together if higher taxes will be imposed on all of us. I am floored that so many stupid Democrats honestly think that the Government will buy them a new car and pay for their house. We have already ran out of money and continue to rise higher and higher in debt. The current administration is wasting so much of our hard earned tax dollars and people everywhere are outraged because they know we are headed for major inflation – it will be the result of the bad mistakes that Obama and his stupid cronies made for Americans. We are being treated like dogs on the street and this type of treatment must be stopped now! Government works for the constituents not the other way around. Oxymorons!!! I am irritated by the fact that there are so many Democrats who are clueless about what is best for our country. It is no wonder so many people are outraged and are fighting back. We need to find a way to control the amount of money the Government spends because it is not their money, it is our hard earned money. There desperately needs to be bill set in force to put limits on their spending and how much control they have over the economy. Obviously, they are just continuing to make the current economy worse based on the unemployment numbers and our ever increasing debt that is insurmountable. The Government thinks they have this all figured out and the American people know they could not be more dead wrong and clueless about how to fix our struggling economy. All the bills he has talked about passing will fail and will result in nothing more than a lot of wasted tax dollars. It is the private economy that helps maintain jobs but the Government is spending funds like they are the ones who create jobs. They will realize what a mistake their frivolous spending caused when the unemployment rate continues to rise. Employers are not hiring right now even if they could due to all the uncertainty in the Government. Many Americans no longer trust the Government and this is the Americans way of staying in control of their rights.
If we all take a stand now we can fight this and win against all this corruption in the Government before it is too late. If not, our country will continue to fail under the current administration. Here we have a Congress that refuses to read the bills for health care reform so a bi-partisan agreement can be reached for the best possible plan for all Americans. Also, they have such a hidden agenda that they are keeping the Republicans out of the conversations behind closed doors and are not telling the American people much about what is going on and we have rights.
I have taken notice to the fact that Nancy Pelosi does not have a public e-mail address that Americans can use to send her messages. I am certain it has to do with all the hate mail she was receiving from Americans. She is bringing all of this on herself and one day justice will be served. Our Government is seriously broken and the spending needs to come to a halt now!!! When inflation hits soon, Obama will have nobody to blame but himself – he is so stupid, selfish and arrogant. The American people cannot continue to survive under these deplorable conditions any longer. It’s time to fight back in 2010!!! For one thing, I will never understand why an American would want to be a liberal in today’s struggling times much less support the current corrupted Government administration. We have some seriously evil people in the current administration and until all of you realize this, our country is doomed for even more failure in the future. In time, you will find they are only looking out for themselves and could care less about our well being. I just finished reading Sarah Palin’s book,”Going Rogue” and highly recommend everyone read it because you will learn that her and John McCain’s intentions were going to be good for our country. She made some very good comments in her book that I agree with completely.
Obama will learn you cannot tax the rich because they are the backbone to our job creations and money being spent in our nation. This will only result in the wealthy taking their wealth somewhere else and also end up making the poor even more deprived than before. Another important thing to emphasize to everyone is this cap and trade bill he is interested in passing. When Americans realize this bill is only set up for the benefit of the government “cap and tax” people everywhere will be outraged and will no longer be an advocator of such an atrocious bill. It is high time we end destructive legislative agenda. People do not quite understand the concept of how this bill will ultimately affect everyone and we must take a stand to kill this bill like the health care reform bill. Various industries will result in losing more jobs due to the business practices and higher costs related to the cap and trade. When our resources such as manufacturing, farming, and transportation costs increase, they will push these higher prices onto the consumer to pay. Lastly, it will also have a huge effect on our energy prices which result in our electricity bills to go through the roof. So, in the end, Barack Obama may not be taxing you much on your income if your income falls below the limits, but he will hit you up for more money in other areas. Is this the kind of change you were anticipating when you voted for this man?
If you read Obama’s timeline you will learn how truly evil this man really is who we call our President. You will also learn why he continues to back ACORN who we have learned are total frauds. I sent him a letter in the mail today along with Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. Barack Obama may be the President of the United States but I don’t see him as my President so therefore I will never refer to him under that title. Has the majority of liberals taken notice that Barack Obama associates with all these past criminals that he hires to work under him (i.e. czar or advisors in some of the well known agencies).
It appalls me that the current debt in our country will be passed on to future generations to bear the burden and will result in them not being as successful as in today’s times. They will clearly have a tougher road ahead in trying times and the current Administration does not care. He is crazy if he thinks he will be able to repair an economy that is already broken by an insurmountable amount of debt that we have already incurred. We ended up in this economic chaos due to too much interference in the past. Obama is stupid enough to think if he keeps giving bailout funds to the same companies (AIG, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) that continue to fail that they will eventually come around – what a cop out on his part. He continues to support a few companies that he has ties with and lets the others fail. This is no way to do business or companies struggling to turn their company around.
I love the quote by Dave Barry, “The Democrats seem to be basically nicer people, but they have demonstrated time and again that they have the management skills of celery. They’re the kind of people who’d stop to help you change a flat, but would somehow manage to set your car on fire. I would be reluctant to entrust them with a Cuisinart, let alone the economy.”
It is funny how the Democrats couldn’t get enough of all the negative publicity that gave George W. Bush when he was in office. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, it is like they can’t take the heat. The Republicans are fighting back now just like the Democrats did when Bush was in the White House. If you can’t take the heat, get out. It would prove to be more effective for our country in the long run.
