I am writing to help a family that really needs it. The Mom is a young breast cancer survivor. The oldest son has seizures and many doctor appointments. He is 11. The 9 year old boy has Von Willingham’s blood disorder; the 8 year old girl has a hole in her heart. The father has asthma aqnd is one of the many people who have been laid off from work. He has made many applications, been called in for interviews, but no luck. Thankfully the mother has a job but that’s not enough. She is one strong woman and never complains.
Now more bad luck. She was at work last week and he was helping a friuend out, went home and the house was flooded, (about 6 inches deep water running out the front door. They lost everything. Mold set in immediately and began growing. Insurance moved them to Quality Motel but only for a week. Blowers were set up in the house and big dumpsters in the yard. Friedst have been helping to drag all the furniture out, cabinets etc. They had no kitchen at the motel. We cooked a ham, roast and other things fro them. Now they are back in the house, sleeping on the floor, ripping out drywall and treating the mold. They needed money to get materials, drywall, paint, etc and friends were over last weekend to help, I loaned them money and someone else did vut that is gone and no money to buy more materials to work with this weekend. Insurance keeps promising a check since last Friday but – no check. A peip broke in one of the bathrooms is what caused the flood.
Extreme home makeover needs to knock these walls down and build them a new home. I kno;w the $500 wouldn’t go far but it would buy the kids some clothes and food.
I don’t know what else I can do. I kept the kids a few days, the mold was making them sick. She works for the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department who have been supportive.
Is there anyway you and your staff and producers can help? I am a dedicated fan or yours, get your e-mail and subscribe to your magazine. I love your show and I love you. I have macular degeneration and can haradly see what I am typing so hope I didn’t make too many mistakes. Ruth

and have found it to be all-around great change from ground beef or pork. I too use my potato-masher to start to brown the hamburger.

HAPPY 500TH!!!! I am sooo proud of you. I was watching today’s show. It was the show regarding the couple that had the 2 children and were having the problem with having the opportunity to have sex. The rabbi said something about not tonight hunny I have a headache. Well I have something to say about it. I tell my husband if I have a headache. It is a cure for mine. I am soooo sorry for telling but it is a release for me. Your body releases Endorphines that get rid of your headache. I told many people about it and they were more than sceptable about it. When they returned, I got rave reviews from them. I suffer from MS also. But one thing on the bright side, I haven’t used my cane for 88 weeks. Praise the Lord for blessing me with the use of my legs again. I take alot of meds each day and also take a daily shot of Copaxone. It is a reatively new drug on the market that is suppose to keep MS patients in remission. So far so good with me. Thanks for such a lovely show and keep it up. Oops, I feel another headach coming on….
