Sony Vaio Recall 2010:Sony Vaio Laptop Recall – The TOKYO Sony Corporation announced just this Wednesday that they’re recalling more than 535,000 Vaio laptops worldwide. Electronics can malfunction but this is a wide-scale recall that has dangerous possibilities if you don’t jump on the opportunity. Sony reported that the recall is due to a temperature-control defect that can cause the system to overheat excessively and even melt the laptop. Some customers of the Vaio laptops have reported such severe overheating that their laptops changed shape and were distorted.
Some cases of overheating with the laptops have caused skin burns and numerous other dangerous outcomes. Sony has been direct and to-the-point about getting the issue resolved quickly. Their recall on the item is expected to affect several thousand consumers in the United States. Overheating laptops are a very serious concern. If the problem is not dealt with appropriately then the laptops run the risk of starting a fire which could erupt into an entire house fire. Not to mention the dangerous concern that the user could be burnt.
