Dr. (Travis), at the age of ll, I cut four (4) toes off on the left foot. I have only my big toe. I’m now at the age of 62 and the big toe is beginning to lean left causing a bunion on the outside of my joint. Is there anything that can be done to straighten the toe? I went to a surgeon recently and he said nothing could be done except cutting off the big toe and I’m not going to do that. There must be something or somebody that can fix this problem w/o cutting off my toe. I has also begun to affect my walking and causing a large callous to form on the underside of my foot next to the big toe. I’m afraid if something isn’t done, I might end up crippled because I’m beginning to limp a little now. Please help! Looking forward to your response.
