U.S. Air Force Wants 300 PlayStation 3’s
U.S. Department of the Air Force has revealed that they are trying to use PlayStation 3 for a technology assessment.The department’s primary interest is in the console’s powerful Cell processor.The project’s team revealed :
The Air Force Research Laboratory is conducting a technology assessment of certain cell processors. The processors in the Sony PlayStation 3 are the only brand on the market that utilizes the specific cell processor characteristics needed for this program at an acceptable cost.
The Air Force is really trying to keep costs as low as possible, by purchasing only 40GB model.
