This website was supposed to be working today, but I can’t get it to work properly. It accepts my “invitation code” and shows my child’s name, but then it goes to a screen where I have to agree to the policies, and when I check the “I agree” boxes and click to go on, I get a message telling me they are having technical difficulties. Frustrating! I really want to see my kids’ scores, so I hope they get this fixed SOON. AAAAAARGH!

  2. LShannon | Dec 5, 2008 | Reply

I have tried your website for over an hour. I have followed all of your instructions. IT IS NOT WORKING!!!!!! It will take my invitation code. It will display my childs name, then it promptly tells me there is an error and it is experiencing tech. diff. This is not very handy! The paper copy I used to get was a whole lot less frustrating. PLease fix SOON. I’ll try another day. For now, I have had enough!!!!

ok, I was njot even able to get to the screen to click onto new user link, to put an invitation code in. This site clearly has issues. I hope you work them out, so we can use this site or one like it, to gain easy access. Very frustrating!!!!

As a parent I would like to see my child succed in her school year. Finding out what subject my child needs to study harder in would be helpful. But when your network is not working properly it is difficult to do. So I would like more than anything for this to be up and running so I can make my childs school year a successful one.

  5. monica | Dec 8, 2008 | Reply

I, also am having problems even getting to the new user link. Looks like there have been problems for awhile now, as I have read all the other complaints. It sure would be nice to look at my childrens results of their ISTEP. Is there another way we can find out?

  6. karen smith | Dec 8, 2008 | Reply

WHY NOT JUST SEND HOME THE RESULTS INSTEAD OF MAKING THE PARENT SPEND TIME TRYING TO FIND OUT THE INFORMATION????????????????????????????????????

  7. Christine | Dec 8, 2008 | Reply

    Anyone found any answers?

  8. lorraine | Dec 8, 2008 | Reply

this is not right what about people who don’t have a COMPUTER? acs need to fix the mess of school closing instead of giving the parents a hard time on getting their childs ISTEP scores.they need to make IRMA NAVE STEWART the SUPT OF ANDERSON SCHOOL CORP or put MR. LONG back in because MRS.LOWE doesn’t have the knowledge to run ACS it’s been messed up every since the lady been trying to run things.i can’t get my childrens scores from this sight like the rest of the parents to see my childrens success in ACS.

I have never been able to find anything on the internet about any of my children (I have one in 4th grade, one in 6th grade, another a senior at Howe Academy.

What is wrong and when will it be fixed
    This certainly is frustrating!!!!!

I have tried for over an hour to search this site.I can not get any information on my childs scores. If I would like to have had a gift certificate for an abortion or birth control pills, I would have easily been able to access those services from this web site. What’s wrong with this “picture”.

  11. Vicki G | Dec 9, 2008 | Reply

    ditto to the other messages.
sending home the results in a sealed envelope would be better use of our time as parents. Why does it have to be confusing?

  12. unknown | Dec 10, 2008 | Reply

I am having many problems with your system. You should put more effort into your website

This is so typical of my experience with public dept of education-extremelydisappointing disappointing. You would expect more from us as parents and we expect more from you.You would expect parents come to the site and be involved we expect that a site you promt us to go to will actually be easy to acces even more that we would be able to access at all!

I just got my letter (8/26/09) inviting me to go to this website to view my child’s ISTEP scores. As the other comments from Dec 2008 have noted, there is no “New User” link? Please advise.

  19. Beverly Goggans | Aug 31, 2009 | Reply

Why is your website NOT user friendly? We just received our letter and where’s the New User? I can’t find out how to get my child’s results! Send home a letter! Is this our tax money working for us?

  20. Kelly | Aug 31, 2009 | Reply

I was able to get to the correct website; however, there was not a link to review the test scores as the page suggested.

  21. Brent Spear | Sep 2, 2009 | Reply

This inadequacy should not be tolerated by our Department of Education. However you have made it very easy for me to access BlackPeopleMeet.com; WOW!!! I’ll remember this on Election Day!

I just got my letter today (09-02-09) for both of my children inviting me also like the others mentioned but could not. Whats up with this website!!!!

Some of the comments about the cite not giving ISTEP results are from 12/08. I just received my instructions today. Apparently no one is reading these comments. Does anyone know how I can get my child’s results?

I received my letter on 28th of August of 2009 and am just now TRYING to get signned on. There is NOT a New User box to click on OR a place to put my invitation code. How are we suppose to access our children’s ISEP and grades if the school system can not design a user friendly cite?? The system keeps telling me it will email me a password. Why can I not have my own password?? How can we expect our children to follow the rules when the Indiana Department of Education can not follow their own Instruction Letter??? Our poor children.

Very frustrating system in place for accessing your child’s ISTEP+ results. Please revisit this plan, in efforts to make it more user friendly for the purpose that it is intended.

OK, here we go again…another year that the ISTEP website is not working. Dept. of Ed. can’t figure out how to make a working website, and they are the ones creating ISTEP tests to assess our children. When are we able to assess them? Perhaps the merit pay they are discussing for teachers should trickle down to the Department of Education. They may receive a paycheck when they can create fair test and effectively and efficiently publish the results.
Disgusted parents who don’t need an ISTEP test to know our kids are smart. In fact, our kids could do a better job creating a website.

I JUST received my letter today, September 16. It seems as though no one involved with the web site reads the comments posted by parents. The instructions mailed to families still do not match the site. Parents complained in December of last year that they could not find the new user link, and the same problem remains. The state could have sent the results in the mail instead of this worthless letter and code. Maybe the same people responsible for creating the ISTEP exam are responsible for this site.

Will the Department Of Education learn from past mistakes? History shows that they will not. Though a year has gone by, the problem remains…an incorrect website. Can we score them? They are not in the pass + category, that’s certain. How much money did we as taxpayers pay for this mistake? How much was the cost for developing this website? It’s obvious that it is not read or maintained, as countless parents have complained. How much was spent creating a document with step by step directions (which don’t work) and codes parents cannot easily use? How much was spent in mailing all this useless information? The Department of Education is allowed to fail, and it appears they are not held accountable. Sad to say, but when our children and students fail ISTEP, they are held accountable and not given a second and third chance. The standards for those running our state educational system should be held to the same standards as our students and teachers.

I had to go to Indiana Department of Education to get mine. Click on Istep+ parent network on the right side of the page its under student/ parent resources

Just received my letter today from Indiana Dept. of Education to access my childs results. It states: Click the link under NEW USER! Well, where is the NEW USER link? Come to find out after reading parent complaints that there is no NEW USER link. Apparently this SAME PROBLEM WAS ADDRESSED LAST DECEMBER and still no changes have been made to correct this by the INDIANA DEPT. OF EDUCATION. What’s the sence of mailing parents USELESS letters with USELESS information that no one can access?

  35. Mary | Sep 19, 2009 | Reply

There is not a new user box in this system. What does a parent do??? We are here to help our children, but the our education system can’t get it together. What kind of people are setting this up when apparently they don’t know what they are doing. How can we continue to test our children, when you all wouldn’t be able to pass!!!!

Here in Elkhart i have a child that walks 1.6 miles to school everyday. IN the rain and soon to be cold and snow(that we all know the city will not have cleaned pathways for them that early)and WHY….i ask?NO MONEY FOR BUES….But the state has money for a website that does not work….Something is wrong here….

  37. Irene | Sep 20, 2009 | Reply

I agree with Mary, where is the “new user” link on this page. This is quite frustrating. How are we suppose to review our child’s scores.
    Please get this corrected.

I would really like to know how my son is doing in school. at first I thought that I was doing something wrong. Then I got to read some of the outher parents comments. I really hope that they get this fixed soon or else they could just do it the old fashion way. what is wrong with sending the scores home with the kids? why does everything have to be so unpersonal any way?

  46. connie McIntosh | Oct 7, 2009 | Reply

Would’nt it have been just as easy to send home the I-STEP scores as it was to send everyone this useless piece of paper?

  47. Heather | Oct 15, 2009 | Reply

I have been trying to see my sons test results for about an hour now. I finally got to the right page but there were still no results. I’m getting very frustrated about this. From the paper that they sent home with my son it looked to be a simple thing, boy was I fooled. My next step is to call the number and get some answers, we will see what that gets me.

  48. Kelli | Oct 16, 2009 | Reply

This is crazy! I have been trying to pull up the results for my son’s istep scores for an hour now and can’t. Why do they have to make things so difficult. Just send the results home with the children! They need to get this system updated and running for those of us who care about our children and would like to see their scores!
