Why does Kohls issue credit cards to Canadians when the cards cannot be activated by either the Internet or telephone? Obviously we don’t have American Social Security Numbers and that is all you are interested in.

After reading all the comments concerning their need to activate their card and not being able to online……. Is there anyone at Kohles reading this website? I cannot activate my card just like all those nice people before me. No doubt their are a lot of frustated people out there.
Less email ads and improve home page would be wonderful.

As a Canadian I have tried to activate My Kohls Charge on line and it does not come up. I am disappointed with the internet service and the penalty applied to my account when payment was sent 10 days prior to due date and date of post mark was not even looked at.

Had difficulty finding on the website exactly how to activate my card.I called the phone number on the card and activated it right away.It looks like via prior comments that many people are having problems attempting to activate cards on the internet.

This is how you activate your card:
1. Go to kohls.com.
2. “My Kohl’s Charge” or “My Account”
3. “Sign In”
4. Choose “ACTIVATE CARD”
Good Luck!

I cannot activate my card. I appears that a company of this size would make a clearer for new customers to activate their card. This is not good!!

I went onto the website that is on the sticker on the Kohls card to activate it. I tried everything & it would not go through. Thanks to some of the people on here they are the ones to help me. So just go to kohls.com not kohls.com/activate, that website is useless.

I went to this web-site as suggested on my new credit card to activate it, which is pretty strange because there is no way to activate a card on this site – and if there is, it is pretty well hidden. Why have a site to activate if you can’t activate your card on it?

Kohl’s credit card – what a joke! If you don’t have one, you don’t get to enjoy the savings at Kohl’s. If you do have one and you don’t use it enough, they cut off the coupon stream. But if you use it and they change the billing cycle without warning you and you pay your bill a day late, the fee for doing that might be oh, 75% or more. Bye bye Kohl’s credit card for me and bye bye Kohl’s. I’ll shop at Macy’s or Penneys. I won’t miss the clutter.

Why don’t you simplify activating the card?
As soon as I get dressed I’ll be on on my way to the store to cut it up and turn it in.

I was going to activate my new credit card, but after reading everyone’s comments I’m not so sure. When I see complaints about excessive and/or unreasonable fees I just want to stick my other ccredit cards, which offer rewards. Also, it’s impossible to use the sight to activate. Very poor business practices. Your clerks work hard to get new customers. Doesn’t the company want to keep them?
